Prof. Yusuf Sidani, Ph.D. (Strategic Leadership and Ethics)
Yusuf Sidani (PhD, CPA) is an associate professor at the Suliman S. Olayan School of Business, American University of Beirut (AUB) and currently a visiting associate professor at the Ivey School of Business, University of Western Ontario. His teaching areas include organizational theory and behaviour, business ethics and strategic management. His research interests include gender and diversity in organizations, as well as leadership and business ethics - especially in a cross-cultural context. In addition to management consulting, Yusuf’s practical experience includes financial auditing, and fraud prevention and control. He was appointed as an expert in a number of high profile fraud cases including the special investigation committee for the money laundering case of Madina Bank & UCB Bank. He has vast experience in the development of academic programs at the undergraduate, masters, doctoral, as well as executive degree programs. He has about fifty articles and presentations in international refereed conferences and professional journals.
Dr. Wissam AlHussaini, PhD (Strategic Management), SVP Business Strategy
Wissam AlHussaini is an executive team member and senior vice president business strategy at the Canadian Business Strategy Association. Dr. AlHussaini obtained his Ph.D. in Strategy from Concordia University. After receiving his BSc in Mechanical Engineering and working in the engineering field for a couple of years, Dr. AlHussaini went on to earn an MBA from the American University of Beirut. His research interests are in corporate governance and international business issues.
Dr. AlHussaini is a member of the Montreal Local Global Research group, which consists of scholars from top Canadian business schools. He teaches strategy, entrepreneurship, international management, and contemporary business thinking. On the corporate side, Dr. AlHussaini worked as a management consultant for multinational firms such as Shell and major real estate companies. He also developed business for major IT companies in the Middle East.

Prof. Mihaela E. Firsirotu, Ph.D. (McGill)
Dr. Mihaela Firsirotu is Professor of Strategic Management at École des sciences de la gestion – Université du Québec à Montréal (ESG-UQAM). Dr. Firsirotu was Bombardier Professor of Transnational Management and Chair of the Strategic Management Department between 1996 and 2007. Professor Firsirotu founded the Graduate School of Management and Canadian MBA Program at the Academy of Economic Sciences, in Bucharest, Romania. She acted as Executive Director between 1993 and 1997.
Professor Mihaela E. Firsirotu studied at the Academy of Economic Sciences of Bucharest, at the Universities of Tübingen in Germany and Vienna in Austria, as well as at McGill University, Bronfman School of Business, where she obtained her Ph.D. (Policy) in 1985. Her Ph.D. thesis on the strategies for radical change in complex organizations won the 1985 A.T. Kearney Award of the American Academy of Management for the best Ph.D. thesis in management in North America.
Dr. Firsirotu is the co-author with Dr. Yvan Allaire of over 70 articles among which several received prestigious awards: the Richard Beckhard Award from the Sloan Management Review; the Charette, Fortier, Hawley, Touche, Ross Award of Excellence from La Revue Gestion; the Award for the best article in Strategy from the Administrative Sciences Association of Canada. She is also the co-author with Dr. Allaire of several books on strategic management among which Stratégies et Moteurs de Performance (2004); the financial crisis of 2007-2009 - Black Market and Business Blues (2009) which won silver medal of the independent publisher book awards 2010 and A Capitalism of Owners to be published in January 2012.
Prof. Dr. Miguel Nonaka, PhD
Miguel Nonaka earned his PhD in Management from the Université du Quèbec à Montréal in 2010. He is a part-time professor of international marketing at University of Ottawa. Previously he was lecturer at UQAM and has broad experience working in multinational firms His research interests includes the relationships of headquarters-subsidiary firms, strategy formation, cross-cultural management and comparative management.
Prof. Cesar D. Polvorosa, Jr. PhD Candidate (ABD)
Cesar Polvorosa, Jr. is a Professor of world economic geography and legal aspects of international trade at the Humber Business School. He also teaches economics at Seneca College. He is also a writer, strategic planner and socioeconomic consultant. His published works span economics, business and literary fields. He has a forthcoming publication entitled “Toronto Filipino Businesses, Ethnic Identity and Place Making in the Diaspora” chapter 4 in the book, “Filipinos in Canada: Disturbing Invisibility" (University of Toronto Press, 2012). He was Assistant Vice President of Corporate Planning of a Philippine bank, handled the subsidiaries of a major bank group and was a Central Bank economist for a number of years. He was recently a Board Director of Story Telling Toronto where he was actively involved in the organization's strategic planning and was a 2008 Emerging Writer of Toronto based Diaspora Dialogues. He garnered his BA (cum laude) from the University of the Philippines as college valedictorian while his M.A. is from the National Graduate Institute for Policy Studies (Tokyo, Japan). He is a PhD Candidate in Economic Geography (ABD) of York University where he focuses on ethnic entrepreneurship, SMEs and geographies of industries. He had been a scholar in his BA, MA and PhD studies.
Abdulrahman Chikhouni, PhD Candidate
Abdulrahman Chikhouni is a Lecturer in Strategic Management and a PhD Candidate at the John Molson School of Business at Concordia University, Canada. He holds an MBA degree from the Arab Academy for Science and Technology, Cairo, Egypt and a Bachelor of Economics degree from University of Aleppo, Syria. His industry experience spans over six years of the dairy industry, and co-founder and general manager of Almanara Dairy, a specialty cheese producer in Egypt.
Abdulrahman is a strong believer in the interaction between academics and practitioners and has organized many conferences that bring academics and practitioners together. He was the conference organizer for two conferences held at the John Molson School of Business. Abdulrahman is also a member of the Academy of Management, Academy of International Business and the Administrative Science Association of Canada. .
